OK, so something electrical stopped working and now you are wondering how to change a fuse in a Toyota 4Runner and where do I find the fuse box? Well you are in luck
because we are going to show you where the fuse box and relay panel is located in your Truck or SUV. This do it yourself guide is for a 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 6 cylinder (V6) but may also be
helpful to other 4th generation 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 SR5 and 4 wheel drive owners. 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 5th generation model owners may also find that the fuse box location is
similar. There are 2 fuse panels in the Toyota 4Runner, interior
electrical fuse box is located under the steering column on the driver side. The other fuse panel is located under the hood in the
engine compartment. Please refer to your owners manual for your specific vehicle fuse diagram and requirements, not all 4Runners use the same fuses or diagram. Be sure and look at the diagram
on your own fuse box cover before replacing any blown fuses or relays! This fuse box location guide is from my vehicle and intended for picture reference and illustration only. Read disclaimer.

release the hood safety latch in order to raise the hood. Reach your hand under the grill of the hood and lift up on the hood lever as pictured above.
Warning! If your model Toyota does not have the gas filled hood supports to hold the hood up you will need to use the hood support rod so the hood will stay up. |

Inside the fuse panel you will find many fuses and relay's including the fog light, headlight, tail lights, stop lights and turn signals, cigarette lighter,
auxiliary power, gauges, windshield wippers, and washer pump fuse. As well as the Air conditioning
relay, fog relay, horn relay, heater relay, ignition relay, ABS relay and fuel pump relay. There is also a few spare fuses and a fuse puller for removing burnt out fuses. If an electrical device
in you vehicle has stopped working the first thing you should check is the fuse. The 4Runner uses many different fuses for it's electrical components including
10A, 15A, 20A, 30A, 40A and 50amp
which are available at any auto parts store including Autozone, Pep Boys, Advanced Auto Parts and Napa. If you want spare fuses for the future you may want to buy a fuse multi pack which comes
with both standard and mini blade fuses. This way you will always have replacement fuses on hand to change out a blown fuse. |
